In an effort to solve a murder mystery, Brett Marshall devotes ten long years to the investigation of corruption in high places. Determination is his driving force with pen and paper as his weapons. The manuscript is complete, and all Brett needs to do is deliver it to his publisher. Yet, the powerful congressman has an unlimited supply of money and everyone in his hip pocket…or so it seems. To complicate matters, a mysterious woman by the name of Lilly Mae waltzes into the picture. Suddenly, the manuscript disappears and so will Brett and Niki if the congressman has his way. Mysteriously, the two find themselves with a reward over their heads, dead or alive. Being out of options, Brett must take a chance in order to locate the missing documents. It turns out to be a trap, and they find themselves surrounded by hired gunmen in a showdown.
