The Secret Chamber (Adventures series Book 11)

About

World-renowned Dr. Andrew Rogers and his equally famous companion Dr. Kathleen McGregor are at it again. This time the stakes are high. A former companion, Alexandria, has discovered the key to unlocking a mystery of magnificent proportions. Not just any mystery, but one that could save the world from destruction. The Mayan 2012 prediction is quickly approaching. Unless the ancient Tabernacle can be located and a certain item returned to its rightful place, the world will be destroyed. Just exactly how that will come about is not yet known. As the plot thickens, there are a number of opposing forces all wanting this mysterious item for different reasons. To complicate matters, there are some strange creatures lurking about. Although no one has seen them, their presence can be felt and sometimes even heard. Are they evil or good? What is their purpose? Andy and his team are about to return home from a successful expedition. Worlds apart, Alexandria lay studying her private notes in the quietness of her quaint abode when suddenly she feels something sinister in the air. Moments later a tragedy occurs, and now she is in desperate need of help. There is only one person she can turn to in a crisis like this. But it has been years since she has spoken with Andy. Would he be willing to push aside a tumultuous past for the sake of mankind? That is her only hope in locating The Secret Chamber!

Praise for this book

Entertaining Read
I had read a number of other books in this series but somehow overlooked this one in my to be read collection from back in 2012. It would have been more timely read at that time. Now of course we know the world didn't end in 2012 as foretold by the Mayan prophecy.
Very Entertaining, but I think most readers would need background from earlier books to get the most from this one.

Great Adventure Series
Hi, I'm Vonda Norwood's daughter Katie. I am 15 years old. "The Secret Chamber" was very exciting and I am hooked for life! I want to read ALL of these books and I am now going to start reading the very first one in this series tomorrow.
I love how Alexandra jumps to conclusions and threw a steak at Andy's head once!
I like Mac because he's tough little guy with a scar.
Thank you, Roger Grubbs.

5.0 out of 5 stars REMARKABLE
This book true to Roger's writing, is another one that you need to make sure you have the time to read from start to finish. One of the things, I loved about this book, is how Roger Portrays Women, as strong, individuals. It was not the macho guy, typical story. I have to say with the ending, there will be more, I for one am hoping so. Please checkout all of his books, I am so glad I did.

I had the pleasure of reading the Secret Chamber by Roger Grubbs after responding to a twitter recommendation. The Story captures the reader from the first page, setting up the platform for the mystery surrounding the Mayan Calendar predictions for a world ending event in late 2012.
I was hooked from the start as the plot and the characters developed quickly. I found myself annoyed by routine interruptions in my life that prevented me from finishing the book more rapidly. I took every chance to get back to the story and the rewards were great. It was a good mystery thriller. There were some unanswered questions. The novel calls for an immediate sequel so the reader can learn more about the mysterious Captain MacMillen who is key to the solution of the Secret Chamber and the success of the mission of those questing for it's discovery. I can't wait for the next book to learn the rest of the story about the mysterious MacMillen. I purchased the ebook on my kindle application. Keep writing Roger. Can't wait.
I only give it 4 stars for leaving me without the final answer. Theodore M Homa MD
