Book #5 from the series: Adventure series

The Secrets of Egypt (Adventures series Book 5)

About

Egypt holds a vast amount of hidden treasures, and two prominent archeologists, Dr. Andrew Rogers and Dr. Kathleen Mcgregor have been successful in uncovering many of them. Now their former students are putting into action their skills. But, when compared to Dr. Rogers, they are still novices and prone to making mistakes. Dr. Julie Freeman leads an expedition of seven on a dangerous, mysterious journey in hopes of finding King Solomon’s treasures. Believing those items have been purchased by the ancient Pharaoh of Egypt in hopes of bringing wealth and good fortune to his own empire, Julie enters a risky opening in the pyramid. Soon the party becomes trapped and can only meander through the tunnels inside until Dr. Rogers comes to their rescue. However, finding that secret escape route soon becomes a seemingly impossible task even for him. Their only hope is to piece together events that occurred more than 3,000 years ago. Those shocking revelations come to light as they travel back in time to examine The Secrets of Egypt. However, what they find has consequences, and sacrifices must be made. With time running out, Dr. Rogers put to use his unique method in a frantic attempt to rescue his friends. But, will it be enough to save them?

5.0 out of 5 stars Full of Action and Intrigue
The Secrets of Egypt by Roger D. Grubbs is an action packed adventure story that is full of intrigue and mystery.

I love stories about Egypt and this book did not let me down. From page one till the end of the book it kept my interest and wanting more. I liked the way the author developed his story and kept it very real and believable. The book is full of plot twist but was easy to follow.

I enjoyed Roger D. Grubbs' characters. They were easy to identify and believe in. I did feel their dialogue was a little stiff but this did not distract from a great story.

I enjoyed reading The Secrets of Egypt by Roger D. Grubbs and I recommend it to all readers.

I love all the mysteriousness in this one! Lots of fun. The name Clarence is a funny name! Falling down the hole and the moving staircase was good!!!
I can't wait to read number 6 of the "Adventure Series"!
Thank you, Roger! My sister Emily and I have a lot of fun reading all of your books!!!

A moving story of love and adventure
King Solomon's treasures have always been a source of intrigue and have caught the attention of Dr. Rogers' former students who have graduated and are archeologists in their own right. They make a decision to take on this search alone, yet the pyramids are filled with booby traps. Soon several of the young ladies find themselves in deep trouble. They become trapped inside the massive pyramid with no way out. Only Dr. Rogers would be able to rescue them, but even he finds the task to be impossible. His only choice is to seek the help of ancient rulers. Just how he does that proves to be an intriguing mystery that can only be understood by reading the book. A mysterious character shows up, but you will never guess where he comes from. If you like adventure, action, and romance, you will love this one. I certainly did. I was thoroughly entertained and immediately began reading the next book of the series, Ancient Gold.

Fun adventure and a clean read!
I'm a sucker for Egyptian adventures and Roger Grubbs provided me a clean, fun read that I could recommend to my granddaughter. There is plenty of intrigue, mystery, close calls, and even some love. What more can you ask? If you like Indiana Jones, then this adventure will appeal to you. There are loads of pretty girls, but they hold their own against the bad guys. When you need a break from heavy, somber reading, this one will put a smile on your face. It's part of a series which is becoming a guilty pleasure. Well done.
