About
On a cold wintry night in a small community just outside Omaha, Nebraska, a notorious killer enters the home of a family of five. Less than ten minutes later Ed “The Bull” Malone leaves behind a building in flames with no survivors. Having eluded the law for seven long years, this cold-blooded killer brings additional heat when he murders an off-duty cop who tries to save the victims from the burning inferno.
Within hours a nationwide manhunt is underway, and at the helm of the search is none other than Deputy Director JP Long of the U.S. Marshals Service. Months later and with no success in locating Malone, the deputy director is advised to seek the help of an infamous bounty hunter named Chris “The Duke” Blaylock.
Swallowing his pride and getting on a plane, he makes a trip to Dallas, Texas where he finds this person to be not only a professor of criminology, but a female. Upon entering the classroom of this skillful, well-respected teacher, he soon learns he has misjudged her; but convincing The Duke to come from retirement is an uphill battle. Yet, without the expertise of this notable person, it will likely be impossible to locate Malone and bring him to justice.
With no other option, Deputy Director Long must persuade The Duke to return to her former line of work for he desperately needs the help of the beautiful and infamous Bounty Hunter.
