About

On a dark, stormy night in the year 1972, the perfect crime is committed. A flash of lightning streaks across the heavens, followed by a jarring thunder. Immediately a Rolls-Royce speeds away, barely squeezing through the wrought iron gates of the entrance to the estate, not waiting for them to completely open.

The next morning one of the maids discovers the body of Henry Carson, lying on the floor of his private balcony, shot between the eyes. Moments later everyone on the premises is considered a suspect. When Detective Benjamin Walker arrives. he begins questioning each member of the family and their spouses. Shortly afterwards he considers numerous suspects that are employed by Mr. Carson. Before long he realizes any one of more than twenty persons residing at the massive compound could be guilty of the crime of murder, but the list doesn’t stop there.

After questioning all likely suspects, the detective becomes concerned that this crime could eventually end up in the cold case file, something any lawman dreads to see happening. Complicating matters, Mr. Carson had many secrets, but is that enough to get him murdered? As the investigation intensifies, Ben is in for another surprise. His life is now in danger, and dead bodies continue to show up on the premises. Still there is no concrete evidence as to who could have committed these horrible crimes. Is the brilliant detective in over his head with this one?
