Book #1 from the series: SEALs series

The Twelve SEALs

About

Trouble is brewing in LA, and a former Navy officer needs the help of her buddies. The ‘hammer’ (Chelsea Steele) has her back against the wall. Her sister Vanessa has been kidnapped, and no one will help find her. She calls on her best friend, ‘the ghost’ (Bart Nelson), for support. Bart, Chelsea, and four other members of their team walked away from the Navy SEALs, being disgruntled after losing six comrades in an extraction gone bad. They are convinced something is rotten from the inside out. Nevertheless, this team left the force with something very valuable – something money cannot buy. Now they need to use those tools to help a friend. Chelsea is a SEAL, too, unofficially of course. No woman is allowed to become a member of this elite group of Special Forces. She came through the back door as a demolition expert and is known as ‘the hammer’. There is a reason for that name just as there is a story behind ‘the ghost’. Soon these six Navy SEALs uncover more than they could have ever imagined. Human trafficking is at the root of the abduction. It’s a big, bad, dangerous business, spanning the entire globe – orchestrated by high ranking officials and backed with hordes of money. But, they have now been put on notice. Someone is coming for them. Yet they issue their own edict: if ‘the hammer’ doesn’t get you, ‘the ghost’ will.

"The Twelve Seals", is the book that made me fall in love with all Twelve Seals!!! Ideally written to admire the courageousness of our men and women in the military!!! Adventurous and sexy too :-D. Thank you, Roger!!! I still have a crush on Bart...

I Vonda Norwood's daughter Emily and I loved "The Twelve Seals" I can't wait to read "Seals II-The Impossible"! Chelsea is my favorite character because she is a tough girl and has a cool code name "The Hammer"!
Saving the girls from being sold was my favorite part!
Chelsea getting revenge from being covered in the icky mess was really funny.
Thank you, Roger Grubbs!

In "The twelve Seals", the author masterfully combines action, adventure and suspense with the harsh reality of human trafficking, providing alarming figures which reflect the seriousness of this problem not only affecting USA but worldwide. The reader will also become familiar with the heroic work performed by the Navy Seals, which is completely unknown to most of us, until now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thank you for the attention to this subject!
I just want to say, "thank you." The topic of human trafficking is finally in the forefront of people's minds; and, thankfully, this novel helps the cause. I am curious about some of the reviews about the inclusion of swearing; I know that the author left out swearing--in order to highlight the grotesque injustice done to those who are trafficked. SEALs are human--and I am sure, they swear; however, I appreciate the author's motivation to highlight the injustice that continues in all countries. So, please disregard the negative reviews and enjoy this story--and appreciate the message. After all, this will make a wonderful film if the cast and director stick with the plot.

Superbly written. Highly recommended.
Human trafficking is more than a myth. It is out of control. The Twelve SEALs is an action packed, suspenseful story of how this may be happening today, right here in America. Roger D. Grubbs lays out detailed facts to give credibility to his story. One of the characters in this novel, Vanessa, has been kidnapped by the organization that is involved in human trafficking. It seems no one will help find her. Law enforcement agencies have their backs against the wall, and the president is fed up with the problem. The only individuals capable of handling a situation of this magnitude are none other than the elite Special Forces called the Navy SEALs. It just so happens the missing girl is a sister to a naval officer, Chelsea. She has friends that are former SEALs. They come out of retirement to help her. Before long this problem reaches catastrophic proportions. Even the SEALs must dig deep to find the courage to face the obstacles lying before them. At stake are thousands of young women, scattered around the world. They are being taken from their homes and sold into slavery. With time running out, as a reader I would like to jump in with the answers. Yet when I think I have it figured out, a new twist emerges. I loved the storyline, the characters, and the ending. I would highly recommend The Twelve SEALs for anyone. I give it five stars.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Twelve Seals by Roger D. Grubbs. It is a fast moving and entertaining read. I could not put the book down. I had to find out what would happen to the 3 main characters The 'Hammer' (Chelsea Steele)'The Ghost' (Bart Nelson), and Vanessa (Chelsea's missing sister). The Twelve Seals would make a fantastic movie!
